When Tony Crafter retired after the 1992 Sheffield Shield final, he held the Australia record for umpiring in the most Tests (33). He first match was the Ashes Test at the SCG in 1978-79, his last against India at perth in 1991-92. He also stood in 84 ODIs over the same period.
