Magoffin stays for Twenty20

Posted on 05/16/2008 in Worcestershire

Steve Magoffin, the Western Australia quick bowler, will remain with Worcestershire during the Twenty20 Cup.

The club were initially considering bringing in a specialist for the tournament, but have been impressed with Magoffin during the early stages of the season.

"Steve has settled in well since his arrival,” said Steve Rhodes, the director of cricket. “His performances on the field have been just what we require to complement the rest of our seam attack and I have no doubt his strengths will help our Twenty20 challenge this year."

Magoffin is now scheduled to remain with Worcestershire until early July when Fidel Edwards is scheduled to take over the overseas slot.
