An opening batsman of some promise, Chris Thompson's career highlight to date has been selection for the England Under-19 squad to face India in 2006. His call-up came on the back of some solid knocks for Surrey 2nds in early 2006, including a century against Leicestershire at Uppingham School. His brother played for Surrey Under-19s but it was Chris who kicked on and now has the chance to make a name for himself at junior international level.
