Date-stamped : 02 Jul95 - 14:27 Tour match: INDIAN UNDER 25 XI v WEST INDIANS Played at Chandigarh, 20-22 November 1987. The West Indians, who led by 322 runs on the first innings, for- feited their right to enforce the follow-on and took batting practice instead. Their colossal score, coming after Richards had chosen to bat, was based on a third- wicket partnership of 303 between Greenidge and Richards. The only substantial scores in the Under-25`s reply came from Sanjeev Sharma, an all-rounder, and Jaspal Singh, the opening bowler, who added 135 for the eighth wicket. The feature of the final day`s play, when the ball sometimes kept low, was the bowling of Hirwani who, remarkably accurate for a leg-spinner, took all the wickets to fall in the West Indians` second innings.
