Profile
Another player from the Takashinga contingent, where he is club captain. He has been used as an example by many who feel the Highfield club gets an easy ride in selection. Not that he is a bad player- he has a knack of finding himself in squads even without form and stats to back him up. Perhaps he gets by with his politeness, modesty and eagerness to learn and improve. Chauluka captained Centrals in the 2007 Logan Cup, while opening the batting for them. Credit to him he did not look out of place as a first-class skipper in a competition awash with several green players. He is the half brother of Zimbabwe team manager, Givemore Makoni. Steven Price August 2007
