Profile
Rob Ferley is a left-arm spinner who rose though the ranks at Kent before opting to try his luck at Nottinghamshire. He played for England Under-19, British Universities and Durham UCCE along the way, and made his Kent debut in 2003. Unfortunately for Ferley, his emergence coincided with an Indian summer in the career of Min Patel, and his first-team opportunities were limited while the emergence of James Tredwell also blocked his path. The switch to Nottinghamshire brought a few more opportunities, especially in one-day cricket, but he still struggles to find a long run in the Championship. Ferley is also a pugnacious lower-order batsman.
