Profile
Daryl Mitchell is an opening batsman who made his debut for Worcestershire in 2005. He forced his way into the Championship side towards the end of 2006 and impressed scoring a century against Glamorgan. He finally secured a regular first-team spot in 2008 when he played in all but one of Worcestershire's promotion team, finishing with 922 runs at 40.08. He was rewarded with a three-year contract.
