Profile
Garry Park scored his maiden first-class hundred in the final match of the 2006 season when his 125-ball 100 not out against Yorkshire ensured Durham avoided relegation and paved the way for a challenge on all fronts in 2007. The exceptional form of Phil Mustard last year meant his appearances in the first team were restricted although he was an ever-present in the Twenty20 Cup, but with Mustard still in the minds of the national selectors then he may yet establish himself in the Durham side. He signed for the county in 2005 after a stint in the Somerset second XI, but found his opportunities limited. He was snapped up by Derbyshire at the end of the 2008 season. Alan Curr October 2008
