Opened in 1949, the Civil Service ground at Stormont staged it first full ODI in June 2006 when Ireland took on England in a one-off match. It had undergone substantial renovation immediately beforehand, including the construction of a new multi-purpose pavilion. It is situated four miles from the city centre and about 15 minutes from the City Airport.
