 Profile

The tall and lanky Zulqarnain Haider hails from Lahore and was part of Pakistan's world cup winning Under-19 squad in 2004. Thought to as a possible replacement for Kamran Akmal by many, Zulqarnain toured South Africa with the Pakistan squad in early 2007 and played his only international - a Twenty20 - on the tour.

Making his first-class debut in 2003, Zulqarnain not only scored 430 runs at an average of 43, but also took 39 catches in only 9 matches and was duly rewarded with a tour to Sri Lanka followed by one to Zimbabwe with the Pakistan A squad.
