Profile
Sujeewa de Silva, a left-arm swing bowler from the southern resort town of Beruwela, shot to prominence in the Premier Under 23 Trophy in 2000 when he broke the league record for the most wickets in a season. Although possessed with the precious ability to swing the ball late, he failed to catch the eye of the selectors until after Sri Lanka's tour of England, whenhe was picked to play two Tests against Bangladesh as the selectors rested senior bowlers.
