This ground has not hosted international cricket, but has a rich history of producing international players. It is the home of some of Sri Lanka's finest, including Aravinda de Silva, Kumar Sangakkara and Ravi Ratnayeke. The honours board in the pavilion highlights the success of the club in producing high quality players. The ground itself is picturesque, with plenty of room to wander around the boundary and an impressive pavilion. The ground is dominated by two large radio aerials at the same end which backs onto the SSC. The indoor nets are some of the best in Colombo and popular with local club sides as well as professional teams.
